You can't say Lil Bit isn't honest. The diminutive grappler took her ring name to acknowledge just how small she is compared to so many other professional women wrestlers.
"I'm little, but I'm hard to handle," she says with a laugh. "I'm generally a good person and will help anyone who needs it, but if you cross the line or take advantage of me, honey, it is on."
Think she's kidding? Lil Bit actually defeated a total of 14 men in an Over the Top Rope Battle Royal for the FTW promotion. Understandably, it's what she considers the greatest accomplishment in a wrestling career that began in Independence, Miss. four years ago.
Trained in Missouri by Brandon Barbwire, Lil Bit became entranced with the world of professional grappling when she watched it on television as a young girl. Her grandfather, who had been a boxer, was another inspiration and his death on only her second day of training drove the petite powerhouse to work even harder.
"I'm more of a high-flyer in the ring but that doesn't mean I can't dominate on the mat," Lil Bit says. "My personal favorite move is the hurricana, but my ‘Bit Buster' is also a great hold. So is my ‘Bit Kick," where I take an arm bar hold, take out my opponent's knees to bring her down to my level, followed by a swift kick to the chest. Before you know it, I've hit the ropes and taken you out with a dropkick for the 1, 2, 3."
Lil Bit has had more than her fair share of feuds since entering the ring. Perhaps it's her smaller stature that leads other wrestlers to think they can take advantage of her, but the result has been notable feuds with larger and more powerful women such as Auburn Thunder and Destiny. The two villainesses attacked Lil Bit in a one-sided beatdown at a FTW show in Newburn, Tenn., but she got her revenge by teaming with Lady Vixen in a showdown notable for its energy and effort.
"Me and Lady Vixen gave 'em a taste of their own medicine," Lil Bit says proudly. "It will always be one of my favorite matches because it showed that someone with my size, if they use their brains, can beat anyone that gets in my way."
The Magnificent Ladies Wrestling roster is filled with competitors of all shapes and sizes, though most are larger than Lil Bit. It doesn't matter to her. She's quietly confident she can overcome anything.
"I know I'll get my opportunity at a title shot sometime soon," she says. "And when I do, I'll make the most of it."
